I think simple is better. This is number two image of a set of three. Number one was yesterday's "A Touch of Suprematism." Tomorrow I will have # 3. There are all from the interior of the Montreal Art Museum in Canada. (www.alfaphotography.com)

Ali R. Photography # 5, A Touch of Suprematism
This image is one of my favorite ones. It is very simple and in my opinion elegant. It's all about lines that curve and merge resulting in a harmonious composition. There were many possibilities there. I chose this one. It reminds me of a quotation by the American photographer Robert Adams in a book by David Bate, "...The photographer hopes, in brief, to discover a tension so exact that it is peace.” This might be a bit out of context, but I think it fits well here. Ali R. Photography # 4, Vignette
This seemingly simple image was the most challenging and fun work. An elderly woman with a cane stopped and asked what I was doing moving back and forth, bending down, standing up, turning left, right...etc. I was taking this photograph through a store window, so it was a mix of real building parts and reflections. I explained what I was doing and drew an imaginary frame for her to see the composition. She said "oh yes, I can see." That was great. I do not normally crop my photographs, what you see is what I saw. (www.alfaphotography.com)

Ali R. Photography # 2, Juxtaposition
Ok, let's look at another picture. Here the challenge was to make the boring walls of a school interesting. Fortunately, the light was sharp and hit the brick wall from a good angle. I like this composition. It looks dynamic. Perhaps a straight shot would have been nice too, but that did not come to my mind at all! (www.alfaphotography.com)

Ali R. Photography # 1, Illusion
This is my photo-blog, if such word exists! I will post a picture a day here to share my work with you, and hopefully you will share your work with me.
I looked at this scene for a while before taking the picture. The combination was intriguing. The reflection enforces the illusionary nature of a photographic image. I find the stairs on the left quite interesting. Like life itself, the stairs invite us to ascend and yet disappear in the clouds. The metal rail affords some security, but it also ends quickly (www.alfaphotography.com)
